Purlgatory

Bind-off.

A word I would grow to hate.

It is my life.

I've always been binding off.

There has never been anything else.
No sunlight. No warmth. No lover's touch to bring me comfort. Just the endless stitches.

Knit, slip, knit two together.
Knit, slip, knit two together.

Knit.
Slip.
Knit two together.

The project never grows bigger.
The end never comes near.

Embrace me, darkness.
End this woolen torment.

  1. I feel your pain as I too am in the middle (ok it's only 1/3) of the way through a 300 stitch bind off! I saw your finished product through and it's awesome!

    1. The only bind-off worse than this one was on Orchid Thief that I finished at the beginning of this year. Due to a KNPA (Knitter Not Paying Attention) I managed to accidentally add 200 extra stitches to it and bound off close to 800 stitches.

I almost burned the damn thing when I realized it.
